Engineers and scientists of the University of Roorkee have ever made great contribution to the industries, society and in the nation building. With the conversion of the University to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) contribution by its alumni will further go up several times.
Alumni of this great institution continue to work together in a body known as Alumni Association. The association has its national headquarters in Roorkee. It's chapters are spread all over India as well as in America and UK. In Uttar Pradesh, there is one chapter in Lucknow. All the alumni, occupying senior technical and managerial position in government and non-government institutions in Lucknow are members of this Chapter. They meet periodically to exchange views on technical and non-technical issues for providing better services to industries, the society and nation as a whole.
